During this week Westman RCMP received a total of 60 calls for service. Of the 60, 22 were traffic related, three failing to comply with order, three suspicious person/vehicle/property, two false alarms, and two assault files
On March 15 RCMP were called for a disturbance in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, upon arrival it was determined the individual was not complying with his release order, resulting in a charge of failure to comply with release order condition and will appear in court in April.
On March 16 RCMP were dispatched to a report of a suspicious male in the RM of Ellice-Archie. Members attended and located the individual who was in possession of a stolen vehicle. The male was remanded into custody and will appear in court this month on two charges: possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and drive while disqualified.
During a routine traffic patrol being conducted in RM Pipestone, RCMP observed a vehicle speeding travelling at 158km/hr in a 90km/hr zone. RCMP conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and the driver was issued a traffic offence notice which carries a fine of $940 and a serious offence notice was issued.
During a routine traffic patrol being conducted in RM Wallace-Woodworth, RCMP observed a vehicle speeding travelling at 144km/hr in a 110km/hr zone. RCMP conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and the driver was issued a traffic offence notice which carries a fine of $495. RCMP also observed a vehicle speeding travelling at 124km/hr in a 100km/hr zone. RCMP conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and the driver was issued a traffic offence notice which carries a fine of $364.
